The mission of the Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library is to conduct essential fundraising and provide valued programs to enhance and promote the Rochester Public Library.
The Friends and Foundation conducts an annual campaign, applies for grants that would help the library, solicits major corporate gifts, and manages used book sales as well as The Library Store, which sells used books, magazines, music CDs, books on CD, and DVDs, as well as new books, and greeting cards. Wish List:
- Special Need 1/5/24: Children's books, and games with all pieces in good condition.
- General Need for used books, games, and puzzles in good condition. Please see our website for criteria.
Volunteers Needed:
- Cashier for the used bookstore on Wednesdays.
- Receive book donations, help with the book sale set up. Needs to lift boxes that weigh at least 40 lbs. and push book carts in excess of 200 lbs.
- Gardener for central library.
